Billie's Blistering Summer

Directed by Mimi Floriani

17-year-old Billie is on the brink of inescapable change; she doesn’t know it yet. After finding herself back in bed with her ex-situationship, Billie’s self-worth is put to the ultimate test when she finds herself, mirror between legs, inspecting Herpes blisters. An original play written by Mary-Kate Albury, Billie’s Blistering Summer is an exploration of how we bear the weight of being and who shares the burden to lighten the load. Told by a group of sometimes degenerate teens over a scorching Brisbane summer.
